The Straits Times Index has fallen again on Wednesday, losing another 1.3% to trade at 2,849.26 within the first hour of trade as investors show little interest in an attempt by China's central bank to cut rates.
A negative close overnight in the US also spills into most Asian markets.
Keppel Corp. is down 2.9%, Thai Beverage is down 2.8% and SembCorp Industries is down 2.5%.
Corporate news is again light, with the exception of Croesus Retail Trust, which has announced a 1.2% rise in full-year distribution per unit to 84 cents a share.
