Net profit in the three months ended June 30 was 1.01 billion Singapore dollars (US$797 million), compared with S$945 million in the same period last year, Australian unit Optus Pte. rose 7.7% to A$167 million even though revenue fell 5.3% to A$2.12 billion. That was as expenses fell 9% to A$1.56 billion.
