December gold GCZ3 +0.71%  shed $10.70, or 0.8%, to settle at $1,316.30 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange after touching a low under $1,306. Including Tuesday’s action, prices have tallied a three-session loss of 3.9%.
