Crude for November delivery CLX3 -0.43% fell $1.59, or 1.6%, to settle at $99.22 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Prices, which had already slipped below $100 during the electronic trading session, stood at about $100.08 before the supply data. They haven’t closed at a level this low since July 1, according to FactSet data, based on the most-active contracts.
