Elsewhere in metals trading, January platinum PLF4 +0.23%  added $1.40, or 0.1%, to $1,357.70 an ounce while March palladium PAH4 -0.35%  shed $1.60, or 0.2%, to $734.55 an ounce. High-grade copper for March delivery HGH4 -0.42%  lost a penny to $3.24 a pound.
