April platinum PLJ4 +0.10% edged $1.40 higher, a gain of 0.1%, to $1,477.70 an ounce, while June palladium PAM4 -0.01%  lost a quarter to $776.90 a pound.
High-grade copper for May delivery HGK4 -0.35%  held steady on Thursday at $2.96 a pound.
