The dollar rose to a more-than one-week high against the Russian ruble
on Friday as tensions between Russia and Ukraine escalated.
The dollar USDRUB +0.69% rose to 36.032 rubles from 35.776 rubles late Thursday to trade at its highest level since April 15.
The dollar USDJPY -0.16% fell to ¥102.14 from ¥102.30 late Thursday, in line with lower U.S. yields. Lower yields have been the “primary source of pressure” on the yen this week,
