In metals trading, July platinum PLN4 +0.16%   fell $15.80, or 1.1%, to $1,469.90 an ounce, after tacking on 2% a day earlier.June palladium PAM4 +0.43%   fell $16.70, or 2%, to $812.10 an ounce.

High-grade copper HGN4 +0.10%  for july delivery fell nearly 2 cents, or 0.5%, to $3.145 a pound.
