Asian markets were mixed on Wednesday, with Japan's Nikkei bouncing back from the previous day's losses while Hong Kong and Shanghai retreated after recent gains.
The Dow on Wall Street marked up yet another record high, but with few catalysts to drive trade, investors stayed on the sidelines, while the euro weakened further against the yen and the dollar.
Tokyo rose 0.34 per cent and Seoul added 0.10 per cent, but Hong Kong slipped 0.50 per cent, Shanghai shed 0.17 per cent and Sydney was 0.22 per cent lower.
