Gold futures settled with a modest gain on Monday, holding above $1,250 an ounce for a third straight session.
Gold for August delivery GCQ4 +0.10% added $1.40, or 0.1%, to settle at $1,253.90 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange. That was its highest settlement since May 29. July silver SIN4 +0.21% rose 7.5 cents, or 0.4%, to $19.07 an ounce.
