Gold prices barely budged on Wednesday, settling with a modest decline as traders looked ahead to monthly U.S. jobs data and the outcome of the European Central Bank meeting for guidance.
Gold for August delivery GCQ4 -0.03% fell 20 cents to settle at $1,244.30 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York mercantile Exchange. July silver SIN4 +0.10% rose 3 cents, or 0.2%, to $18.79 an ounce.
