Forex Market Update : Epic Research Singapore

The ICE U.S. dollar index DXY -0.02%  , which measures the strength of the American currency against a basket of rivals, edged up to 80.222, versus 79.956 on Wednesday. A rival benchmark, the WSJ Dollar Index XX:BUXX -0.04%   , was at 72.98, up from 72.73.

The euro EURUSD -.00%  sank to $1.3604, from $1.3666 late Wednesday. It briefly dipped below $1.36.

The Australian dollar AUDUSD +0.17%   dropped to 93.57 U.S. cents, from 94.36 cents on Wednesday.
