THE Singapore Exchange (SGX) announced on Thursday that the volume of securities traded on the bourse has declined in June, while trading in derivatives and commodities continued to increase, with record volumes for SGX rubber futures and iron ore offerings.
In June, the total value of securities traded was S$20.5 billion, a 37 per cent drop year-on-year and down 12 per cent compared to the previous month.
Securities daily average valued down 40 per cent to S$978 million year-on-year and 16 per cent lower month-on-month.ETF turnover was down 57 per cent year-on-year at S$2.3 billion.
