October platinum PLV4, +0.21%  fell 80 cents to $1,418.50 an ounce, while September palladium PAU4, +0.98% picked up $7.70, or 0.9%, to $887.60 an ounce.

High-grade copper for September delivery HGU4, +0.90% gained 3 cents, or 0.9%, to $3.21 a pound. September silver SIU4, -0.10%  slid 3 cents, or 0.2%, to $19.39 an ounce.
