Crude slumped 3.2% on Tuesday to settle at its lowest since Jan. 14, while Brent crude lost 2.4% to end at its lowest since May 2013 on well-supplied physical markets.
Gasoline blendstock for October RBV4, -0.47% The benchmark gasoline contract rose nearly 8 cents, or 3%, to settle at $2.62 a gallon. Heating oil for October delivery HOV4, -0.44% gained 7 cents, or 2.5%, to end at $2.8658 a gallon on Nymex.
