Natural gas also for October delivery NGV14, -1.69% retreated 7 cents, or 1.9%, to settle at $3.8370 per million British thermal units. On the week, natural-gas futures lost 0.5%.
Gasoline for October delivery RBV4, +1.50% rose 5 cents, or 2%, to settle at $2.6114. Prices gained 3.7% on the week. Heating oil for the same month HOV4, +0.17% rose less than a penny to end at $2.7166 a gallon, bringing weekly losses to 0.9%.
