Gold was on the mend on Monday, moving higher after prices were sideswiped in the prior session by a surprisingly strong U.S. jobs report.Gold for February delivery GCG5, +0.43% rose $5.50 to $1,195.90 an ounce. March silver SIH5, +0.60% gained 7 cents to $16.33 an ounce.
