SINGAPORE share prices opened stronger on Monday, with the Straits Times Index (STI) up 13.91 points or 0.42 per cent at 3,314.87 as at 9.01am, ahead of a European emergency summit on Greece's debt crisis.
Top gainers in early morning trade included UOB, DBS, Haw Par Corporation, Hongkong Land Holdings, and City Developments.
A total of 65.4 million shares worth S$112.6 million had changed hands as at 9.01am. Gainers outnumbered losers 87 to 72.
