Ahead of the data, July gasoline RBN5, +2.21% added 5.9 cents, or 2.9%, to $2.0896 a gallon, with prices based on the most-active contracts more than 40% higher year to date. July heating oil HON5, +2.49% rose 5 cents, or 2.7%, to $1.887 a gallon on Nymex, with prices 2.9% higher year to date. The July contracts expire at the end of the session.August natural gas NGQ15, -0.07% added 2.7 cents, or 1%, to $2.832 per million British thermal units, with prices looking at a year-to-date loss of roughly 2.2%.
