On Nymex, October natural gas NGV15, +2.25% ended at $2.715 per million British thermal units, up 5.1 cents, or 1.9%. For the week, the contract was up 0.7%, but based on the most-active contracts, it saw a weekly gain of 1.5%.September gasoline RBU5, +3.98% added 6.5 cents, or 4.5%, at $1.522 a gallon, with the contract 1.5% lower on the week. September heating oil HOU5, +4.89% rose 8 cents, or 5.4%, to $1.576 a gallon, up about 7.8% for the week. The September contracts expire Monday.
