In other metals, October platinum PLV5, +0.10% tacked on $7.60, or 0.8%, to end just under the $1,000 level at $999.90 an ounce, while September palladium PAU5, +0.00% added $23.85, or nearly 4%, to finish at $623.10 an ounce.September high-grade cooper HGU5, -0.57% added 2 cents, or about 0.8%, to settle at $2.350 a pound.
