MARKET UPDATES :
- The Straits Times Index (STI) ended 42.9 points or 1.51% higher to 2886.29, taking the year-to-date performance to – 14.23%.
- The top active stocks today were DBS, which gained 1.42%, SingTel,
which gained 3.18%, Keppel Corp, which gained 7.70%, OCBC Bank, which
gained 2.99% and UOB, with a 3.77% advance.
- The FTSE ST Mid Cap Index gained 2.41%, while the FTSE ST Small Cap Index rose 2.35%.
- The outperforming sectors today were represented by the FTSE ST Oil
& Gas Index, which rose 7.06%. The two biggest stocks of the Index –
Keppel Corp and Sembcorp Industries – ended 7.70% higher and 4.22%
higher respectively.
- The underperforming sector was the FTSE ST Consumer Goods Index,
which slipped 1.30%. Wilmar International shares declined 1.07%and Thai
Beverage declined 2.07%.
- The three most active Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) by value today
were : Spdr Gold Shares (-0.68%) , Sti Etf (+2.06%) , Dbxt Msci Asia Ex
Japan Etf 10 (unchanged)
- The three most active Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) by value
were : Ascendas Reit (-0.45%) , Capitacom Trust (+0.79%) , Capitamall
Trust (+1.34%)
- The most active index warrants by value today were :
