September high-grade copper HGU5, +0.06% added 8.6 cents, or 3.8%, to $2.334 a pound.October platinum PLV5, +0.44% settled at $1,006 an ounce, up $25.80, or 2.6%, to extend a modest gain from a day earlier, while September palladium PAU5, +2.13% rose $38.96, or 7.4%, to $568.60 an ounce, rebounding from Wednesday’s decline.
