The dollar posted a weekly loss against the yen Friday, a day after Federal Reserve policy makers decided to leave interest rates on hold.
The dollar USDJPY, -0.04% traded at ¥119.90 late Friday in New York, down 0.5% against the yen on the week.
The ICE Dollar Index DXY, +0.65% a measure of the dollar’s strength against a basket of six currencies, finished the week flat at 95.1290.
Meanwhile, the euro EURUSD, -1.1803% finished the week at $1.1360, little-changed from where it started the week.
