On Nymex, October gasoline RBV5, -0.09% settled up 3.4 cents, or 2.5%, at $1.394 a gallon, while October heating oil HOV5, -0.17% tacked on 3.6 cents, or 2.4%, to $1.575 a gallon.October natural gas NGV15, -0.11% ended at $2.683 per million British thermal units, up 3.2 cents, or 1.2%.
