Oil futures settled lower Monday, as signs of slowing global economic growth fed worries about the outlook for energy demand.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange, November West Texas Intermediate crude CLX5, -0.02% shed $1.27, or 2.8%, to settle at $44.43 a barrel. November Brent crude LCOX5, -0.02% on London’s ICE Futures exchange fell $1.26, or 2.6%, to $47.34 a barrel.
