SINGAPORE'S benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) opened on Wednesday flat at 2,786.63 points at 9.02am, down 1.31 points or 0.05 per cent, after a Tuesday afternoon rebound.
US stocks stabilised by the close of trading on Tuesday after opening higher and dropping during the course of the day.
In Singapore, some 87.7 million shares worth S$210.3 million were traded, with gainers and losers evenly matched at 61:63.
