MARKET UPDATES :
- The Straits Times Index (STI) ended 28.3 points or 0.98% higher to 2906.43, taking the year-to-date performance to -13.63%.
- The top active stocks today were SingTel, which gained 0.82%, DBS,
which gained 0.80%, UOB, which gained 1.40%, OCBC Bank, which gained
1.13% and CapitaLand, with a 0.36% advance.
- The FTSE ST Mid Cap Index gained 0.55%, while the FTSE ST Small Cap Index rose 0.24%.
- The outperforming sectors today were represented by the FTSE ST
Health Care Index, which rose 1.87%. The two biggest stocks of the Index
– Raffles Medical Group and Tianjin Zhongxin Pharmaceutical Group
Corporation – ended 3.04% higher and 0.49% lower respectively.
- The underperforming sector was the FTSE ST Technology Index, which
slipped 0.65%. Silverlake Axis shares declined 1.75% and STATS ChipPAC
remained unchanged.
- The three most active Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) by value today
were : Is Msci India 100 (+0.44%),Spdr Gold Shares (-0.72%),Sti Etf
(+1.02%)
- The three most active Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) by value
were : Capitamall Trust (+1.61%),Capitacom Trust (unchanged) Ascendas
Reit (+2.32%)
- The most active index warrants by value today were : STI
