CEFC International’s earnings rose more than 10-fold to US$11.9 million ($16.4 million) in the third quarter ended Sept 30, 2015, from US$661,000 a year ago.
Revenue surged 73% to US$162.3 million from US$93.6 million previously, owing to higher trading volume brought by a strategic partnership with its subsidiary, CEFC China Energy Ltd.
The stellar results were the fruit of the petrochemical group’s growth strategies, CEFC says.
Shares in CEFC International ended down 0.5 cent or 1.6% at 30 cents.
