Keppel Infrastructure Trust posts 13.4% higher DPU of 0.93 cents for 2Q

Keppel Infrastructure Trust has posted a distribution per unit (DPU) of 0.93 cents for the 2Q ended September, 13.4% higher compared to the DPU of 0.82 cent a year ago.

Earnings for 2Q came in at $4.13 million, compared to a loss of $1.6 million loss a year ago.

Correspondingly, earnings per unit rose to 0.11 cent from a loss per unit of 0.10 cent a year ago.

Lower fuel prices and contributions from the Crystal Trust and KMC acquisitions helped the trust achieved the turnaround.

Revenue came in 20.3% higher at $153 million from a year ago following the full contributions from these assets.

This was however partially offset by lower revenue from City Gas due ti lower fuel prices and higher negative commercial risk sharing mechanism and financing cost incurred by Basslink.

As at end Sept, net asset value per unit grew to 35.9 cents from 12.3 cents as at end March 2015 due to the issue of new units for the Crystal Trust acquisition and the equity fund raising for the KMC acquisition.

Units of Keppel Infrastructure Trust closed flat at 51 cents.
