YuuZoo co-organises e-sports competition in China

YuuZoo Corporation announced today that its China joint venture YuuGames has secured rights to co-organise the China Internet Gaming (CIG) 2015 e-sports competition with www.9eplay.com and China’s Ministry of Industry and Internet Technology (MIIT).

YuuGames previously signed a deal to host China’s e-sports event Electronic Sports Cup of China. According to YuuZoo’s CEO James Sundram, the company is the first foreign company that is tapping into China’s e-sports business that is worth some US$18 billion annually.

CIG, which kicks off on Nov this year and leads up to a grand finale on Jan 23 2016 in Beijing, will see 60 teams from 15 provinces competing for top prizes worth $772,721.

CIG will pay YuuGames to organise the event in four provinces and market the event in nine out of 15 provinces. Apart from that, YuuZoo will also gain from having new users being added to its YuuGames platform, from promotional fees, advertising revenue and e-commerce sales.

YuuZoo last traded at 19.2 cents.
