SINGAPORE shares opened higher following the rally on Wall Street overnight, in the wake of the Paris attacks.The benchmark Straits Times Index rose 19.68 points or 0.67 per cent to 2,935.41 in early trading on Tuesday.
At 9.03am, 73.2 million shares worth S$59.1 million changed hands, with gainers outnumbering losers 119 to 24.
Among the most active counters were Stratech Group, Nam Cheong and Golden Agri-Resources.
US stocks had started the week in rally mode, with the energy sector leading the way up.
