December silver SIZ5, -0.54% lost 12.6 cents, or 0.9%, to finish at $14.096 an ounce, logging a weekly decline of about 0.6%.Elsewhere on Comex, high-grade copper HGZ5, -1.83% for December delivery lost 2.2 cents to finish at $2.055 a pound, further extending its six-year lows. Copper has logged a weekly decline of 5.3%.
January platinum PLF6, -0.28% lost $2.20, or 0.3%, to end at $855.90 an ounce, registering a 1% weekly fall, while December palladium PAZ5, +3.86% gained $17.90, or 3.3%, to close at $558.90 an ounce, posting a 3.4% weekly gain.
