Here are some stocks to watch this Thursday morning.
City Developments posted record 4Q earnings of $410.5 million, up 6.6% from the year before. Lifted by gains from the sale of CDL’s tree prime office assets, 7 & 9 Tampines Grande, Manulife Centre and Centre Mall, as well a maiden $12 million contribution from CDL’s UK property development platform from the sale of Emerald House in Croydon. Revenue inched up 1% to $855 million. City Developments closed at $7.04 on Wednesday.
PACC Offshore Services Holdings (POSH) has secured long-term charters for five vessels to the Middle East worth in total of about $119.5 million. In one contract, POSH will supply four new utility vessels to a Saudi Arabian national oil and gas major, primarily to support its offshore maintenance work in the Persian Gulf. Shares of POSH closed at 29 cents.
Steel fabrication specialist Yongnam Holdings has clinched four contracts worth about $69.8 million in Singapore and the Middle East. The new jobs comprise two structural steelwork subcontracts in Singapore at Jewel Changi Airport and at Robinson Tower; and two supply and fabrication orders for Heat Recovery Steam Generator parts for powerplants in Qatar and Egypt. Yongnam closed at 34 cents.
Earnings of Riverstone Holdings surged 78.4% to RM126.5 million ($42.2 million) for the fiscal year ended Dec 31, 2015, from a year ago. Revenue jumped 40.3% to RM560.2 million, on higher demand from new and existing markets. Shares of Riverstone closed at 98 cents.
QAF, which bakes bread under the Gardenia brand as well as other pastries, posted a net profit of $52.5 million for the year ended December, up 17% from a year ago. Revenue came in 2% lower at $998.3 million from $1.02 billion. Separately, QAF is also proposing to sell a 20% stake in Gardenia Bakeries (K.L.) Sdn Bhd to Padiberas Nasional Bhd (BERNAS), Malaysia's rice regulator and distributor, for about $30 million. QAF shares ended 1% lower at $1.02.
