Gold Market Update : Epic Research Singapore

Gold futures finished little-changed Thursday, as the yellow metal took a pause after two straight days of sharp gains.

April gold GCJ6, -0.09% ended down 30 cents, or less than 0.1%, at $1,238.80 an ounce, marginally lower than its closing level Wednesday when gold climbed 1.4% to mark its highest settlement in about a week. Still, gold is on track to post a weekly gain of about 0.2% and an year-to-date rise of nearly 17%.

Meanwhile silver for March delivery SIH6, -0.10%  was off 12.7 cents, or 0.8%, to settle at $15.170 an ounce.
