Other metals on Comex ended mostly higher. March silver SIH6, -0.07% outpaced the gains in gold to gain 64.8 cents, or 4.4%, to $15.426 an ounce.March high-grade copper HGH6, +0.07% fell 1.3 cents, or 0.6%, to $2.091 a pound, while April platinum PLJ6, +0.17% picked up $25, or 2.8%, to $928.70 an ounce and March palladium PAH6, -0.60% edged $19.40, or 3.9%, higher at $518.10 an ounce.
