Other metals on Comex finished lower Tuesday. May copper HGK6, -0.68%  fell 6.2 cents, or 2.7%, to $2.222 a pound.

April platinum PLJ6, -1.62%  lost $12.60, or 1.3%, to $989.40 an ounce, while June palladium PAM6, -2.49%  fell $10.75, or 1.9%, to $566.85 an ounce.
