Among other metals, May silver SIK6, +0.26%  lost 16.2 cents, or 1,1%, to $14.756 an ounce, while May copper HGK6, +0.30% added 1.3 cents, or 0.6%, to $2.146 a pound.

April platinum PLJ6, +0.10%  ended at $936.70 an ounce, up $2.40, or 0.3%, while June palladium PAM6, -0.61%  tacked on $21.70, or 4.4%, to $517.35 an ounce.
