Back on Nymex, May gasoline RBK6, -0.26% ended at $1.585 a gallon, down 1.3 cents, or 0.8%, but prices rose roughly 11% for the month. May heating oil HOK6, -1.21% slipped 2.7 cents, or 1.9%, to $1.378 a gallon, but it still gained over 16% for the month. The May contracts expired at the settlement.June natural gas NGM16, +2.98% settled at $2.178 per million British thermal units, up 10 cents, or 4.8%, with warmer weather forecasts kicking up cooling demand, said Flynn. For the month, tracking the most-active contracts, prices were up over 11%.
