M1, Perennial Real Estate, Citic Envirotech, Lian Beng, Hi-P

Here are some stocks to watch this Thursday morning.

Telco operator M1's net profit for the first quarter declined 6.9% to $42.5 million due to higher upfront customer acquisition costs. Revenue for the three months ended March 31, 2016, was down 12.6% to $257.6 million, from $294.8 million one year ago. M1 closed at $2.48 on Wednesday.

Perennial Real Estate Holdings has filed a Court application to wind three of its associated companies which hold the assets of Capitol Singapore. PREHL says it has been unable to agree on a number of key issues relating to the project with 50:50 JV partner Chesham Properties. “As a result, in the last few months, the Capitol project has become increasingly deadlocked at both the board and shareholder levels.” Shares of PREHL closed at 92 cents.

Water treatment firm Citic Envirotech has secured its first build-own-transfer sludge treatment project in Weifang City, Shandong province, China with a total investment of 220 million yuan ($45.9 million). Citic Envirotech closed flat at $1.44.

Lian Beng's net profit for the third quarter ended Feb 29, 2016, dipped 5.3% to $17.4 million, from $18.4 million in the year-ago period. Revenue dived 49.8% to $101.6 million, from $202.3 million. Lian Beng last closed at 48 cents.

Hi-P International’s  indirect wholly owned subsidiary Hi-P (Shanghai) International Trading Co has disposed of its investment in a startup, comprising 4.44% of the total shareholding of the said company, for RM52.6 million ($18.3 million). Hi-P expects to register a pre-tax gain on disposal of investment of RM50.4 million upon completion of the disposal. Hi-P last closed at 41 cents.
