Tracking movements in other Comex metals, July copper HGN6, +0.24% settled at $2.089 a pound, up 1.5 cents, or 0.7%. July platinum PLN6, +0.55% rose $1.40, or 0.1%, to $1,053.50 an ounce, while June palladium PAM6, +0.66% fell by $1.40, or 0.2%, to $591 an ounce.
