July copper HGN6, +0.27%  ended at $2.041 a pound, down 1.3 cents, or 0.6%. July platinum PLN6, +0.62%  dropped by $23.40, or 2.4%, to $971.90 an ounce and September palladium PAU6, +0.40%  shed $10.10, or 1.9%, to $535.75 an ounce.
