SINGAPORE'S benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) opened the first trading day of June slightly lower, falling 2.31 points or 0.08 per cent to 2,788.75 points. Europe and US stocks have closed lower the day before.
Some 60 million shares worth S$193.5 million changed hands by 9.02am.
Losers outnumbered gainers 69 to 51.
Top stocks by value traded were DBS, Hongkong Land, Singtel, OCBC and UOB.
