SINGAPORE share prices opened higher on Tuesday, with the Straits Times Index up 1.52 points, or 0.05 per cent, to 2,872.08 as at 9.03am.
Top gainers in early-morning trade included DBS Bank, UOB and CNMC Goldmine as precious metals continued to be in demand.
Some 84.4 million shares worth S$42.8 million changed hands. Gainers outnumbered losers 63 to 62.
