Epic Research Singapore : U.S Market Update

U.S. stocks ended higher Friday, shaking off early losses after a disappointing existing home sales report, as some investors took the data as a factor that could delay the start of the Federal Reserve’s reduced bond purchases. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 46.77 points, or 0.3%, to 15,010.51, helped by a 7.3% rise in Microsoft Corp.

The S&P 500 gained 6.54 points, or 0.4%, to 1,663.5. The Nasdaq Composite rose 19.09 points, or 0.5%, to 3,657.79. The Dow lost 0.5% for the week, its third week of losses, for the longest weekly losing streak of the year.
