The euro EURUSD +0.44% rose to $1.3177 from $1.3121, while
the British pound GBPUSD +0.26% jumped to $1.5627 from $1.5589 late Thursday.
The euro lost 0.3% against the greenback this week while the pound rose 0.9%
against its U.S. riva
