Epic Research Singapore : Global Market Update

The benchmark Hang Seng Index HK:HSI +1.89% surged 1.7%, setting out on the path to a third straight trading day of gains, while Japan’s Nikkei Stock Average JP:NIK +1.43% and Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 AU:XJO +1.06% rose 0.7% each.

In choppy trading, China’s Shanghai Composite CN:SHCOMP -0.13% itself slipped 0.4%, and South Korea’s Kospi KR:SEU -0.14% was flat.
