The Hang Seng Index HK:HSI +0.23% rose 0.1%, and the Shanghai Composite Index CN:SHCOMP +0.50%  picked up 0.6%. Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 AU:XJO +0.37%  rose 0.2%, though off its opening gains, and South Korea’s Kospi KR:SEU +0.30%  picked up 0.1%, also off its intraday high
