Stocks in China were mixed, with Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index HK:HSI +0.16%  up 0.2%, and the Shanghai Composite CN:SHCOMP -.00%  flat in the mainland.

Although stocks in Sydney were little moved, there was some movement in the local currency.
