Crude oil for January delivery CLF4 +0.03% rose 14 cents, or 0.1%, to $97.34 a barrel in electronic trading.
Oil prices jumped 1.2% on Wednesday after the U.S. Energy Information Administration said in its weekly report that U.S. domestic crude oil inventories dropped 5.6 million barrels to 385.8 million in the week ended Nov. 29, declining for the first time in 11 weeks.
